What is a tub chair? The first thing that comes to my mind is a chair to use in the tub. Well it’s not quite that but it got it’s name because it is shaped similar to the way tubs used to be shaped. That it cam a round and higher to hug you while you were in the bath.

A tub chair is a type of comfortable chair that is very rounded and snug around the user. These are known to be one of the most comfortable chairs to sit and relax in. Really it is the idea of the rounded edge that snuggles you.

There now are tub chairs that have legs a few inches high which is more of a formal chair as opposed to a comfortable chairs whose feet are basically on the floor. The tub chair is the actual style of the seat of the chair. This style can be adapted to then any type of chair. For instance you can have tub dining room chairs, a tub chair that is a recliner or a regular comfortable chair that is a tub chair.

The basic design of a tub chair is the low back and high arms. My parents have one of these in their living room; it is the coveted chair in the house (and they have a lot of chairs to choose from). With the basic design of tub chairs the styles can change it can belong on a swivel chair base or be fitting for outside. You can get tub chairs in plastic now so the maintenance is very easy and perfect for outside.
